VietNamNet Bridge – A fashion fair will be held from June 1-6 at the Hoang Van Thu Exposition Centre by the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, the Vietnam Textile and Garment Corporation and Hong Kong-based CP Exhibition Company.

The fair, whose theme is Vietnam fashion’s integration with the international textile market, will include 240 booths showcasing products by 100 domestic and foreign textile companies.

The two special features at the fair will be the establishment of a team to fight fake and copycat products and a fashion show to be held at Leges Hotel at 6 pm on June 1 with the participation of five companies: Viet Tien Garment, Nha Be, 10 Garment, Viet Thang, and Phuong Dong.

According to Sao Kim, Deputy Editor-in-chief of Mode-Fadin magazine, at the fashion show, which will be titled Spring-Summer Fashion Night-2008, young designers will exhibit 200 designs of originality and high applicability which are part of the strategies of their companies in particular and of the Vietnam Textile and Garment Corporation in general.

Designers Trong Nguyen, Quang Hoa, and Thanh Nga from Viet Tien will introduce 50 cotton and linen sport-style samples of youthful red, yellow, pink and green colours. Nguyen Dang Khoa from Nha Be will contribute 40 boldly-designed "veston" samples.

Other designers to take part in the show are Hong Vuong with her Hidden Nature collection, Quang Huy, Duc Hai, Thanh Huyen, Viet Ha, and Thien Toan. "At the upcoming fashion show, highly applicable fashion will dominate,” said Sao Kim.
